Accommodation
Set in the quiet little village of Linkinhorne, this detached newly converted double glazed stone barn has been designed to give the best in comfort and cosiness for couples looking for a peaceful retreat. Tucked Away in the tranquil Lynher Valley on the eastern edge of Bodmin Moor, the property is set to one side of the owners farmhouse and has been created for those who really want to escape from it all,yet it also offers an ideal base for exploring Cornwall.
Approached through a gated courtyard with slate chippings, the front door opens to a tiled entrance lobby with drying area and one step leads up to the ground floor hallway with rustic doors containing stained glass inserts. There is a spacious bedroom with a 5ft double bed, a beautiful oak headboard and windows overlooking the courtyard. An adjacent bathroom has underfloor heating, W.C., wash basin, heated towel rail, shower cubicle and a separate bath with hand shower fitment.
Carpeted stairs lead up from the hallway directly into a light and airy open plan living room comprising the whole of the upper floor with a hip shaped ceiling and tranquil views from triple aspect windows. In a delightful crisp décor, comfortable lounge seating includes a sofa bed as a sleeping alternative and a drop leaf dining suite is arranged on one side. A kitchen island unit divides the seating area from the well-equipped, fully fitted kitchen area at the rear.
In one corner, a door opens to a covered porch and half a dozen railed steps lead down to the private and sheltered garden for the visitors sole use with a sitting out area. There is a linhay providing storage space for bicycles. Dogs must be supervised outside as the garden is not securely enclosed and the owners keep cats and free range chickens in the adjacent acre of meadow. There is off road parking for one car in front of the owner’s farmhouse.

Situated between the North and South Coasts, they are both approximately a 45 minute drive, and a short car ride across the River Tamar leads into Devon with the ancient town of Tavistock and the city of Plymouth.
