Accommodation overview: With views over Mount’s Bay and far out to sea, this spacious detached bungalow is set in a superb position above the delightful ancient market town of Marazion, with a stunning outlook to the granite island of St Michael’s Mount topped by the 14th century castle.
Entered through a large Cornish stone walled garden and a long driveway with ample parking, a couple of steps lead up to the porch and an inner door opens into a wide hallway.
At the front of the house is a light and comfortable sitting room with a Cornish slate fireplace and a sofa bed as a sleeping alternative, and on the other side of the hallway is a bright master king size double bedroom, both with large picture windows enjoying views across the bay.
The modern kitchen is very well equipped and can be accessed from the sitting room and the hall, with a dining area at one end, and a twin bedded room overlooking the back garden is favoured with the morning sunrise. A recently upgraded shower room with hand basin and walk-in shower, and an adjacent separate W.C. with small hand basin completes the accommodation.
At the rear of the property a path leads up to a walled and gated enclosed garden also with sea views. The garage is available for storage of bikes and beach gear, and also houses a useful laundry area.
The shops and restaurants in the village are within a 5 minute walk, the golden sandy beaches are only 10 minutes on foot, and the marshes nearby are a haven for birdwatchers. Penzance with its main line railway station and a wider selection of facilities is about 3 miles away.

Double-glazed and furnished to a high standard, this south west facing property is ideally placed for family beach holidays and for exploring both the Coastal Footpath and the West of Cornwall by car.
Fronted by a paved terrace that catches the morning sun, a door opens directly into a light and airy, modern fitted kitchen/dining room with electric operated Velux Windows, casual seating and French Windows opening to the patio. Adjacent to the kitchen is a shower room W.C. with hand basin, and access to the integral garage where there are laundry facilities and secure storage for bicycles and beach gear.
Leading off in one corner of the kitchen, an inner hallway leads to a bright and sunny sitting room with comfortable furniture, an ornamental marble fireplace and sliding patio doors enjoying wonderful sea views. There are three ground floor bedrooms; one twin bedded room with views across the garden towards the sea, and two single bedrooms. The rear garden is securely enclosed and comprises a raised sun deck that spans the width of the property, perfect for watching the sun set in the west, and a dozen railed steps lead down to a large lawn sheltered by mature shrubs. There is parking for one car on the drive with additional roadside parking nearby.
The golden sandy beach is just a two minute walk away, popular with families and for water sports and the local marshes are renowned for birdwatching. Marazion has a selection of pubs,cafes and local shops about 500 yards away, as is the causeway, which leads to St Michael's Mount at low tide.
There is a local bus route that connects to the shopping town of Penzance, 2 miles, where there is a railway station and a regular ferry service to the Isles of Scilly. Praa Sands golf club is just a short drive and there are riding stables nearby.

With reversed accommodation to take full advantage of the sweeping views, Sandcastles is in a quiet yet central position just a short stroll from the nearby shops and restaurants, the glorious sandy beach and the cobbled causeway leading to St Michael's Mount.
Approached from its own garage where there is parking for one large car, half a dozen steps lead down to the front door opening into a useful entrance lobby with a practical quarry tiled floor, integral door to the garage and ample space for beachgear. An inner hallway with a solid ash floor gives access to three bright and cheerful ground floor bedrooms, one en-suite, and a good sized family bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath.
There is a double bedroom at the front of the property, a master bedroom with a 5ft Victorian brass bed and en-suite wet room with shower W.C. and hand basin and the third bedroom with versatile 3ft solid pine stakka beds that can be made up as a single bed or two low twin beds. The latter two bedrooms overlook the walled garden and catch a glimpse of the castle atop St Michael's Mount.
From the hall, carpeted stairs lead up to the first floor and a light and airy open plan living room with a sunny Mediterranean feel, attractive mural on the wall, wooden ash flooring and extensive sea views. There is a smartly fitted kitchen with adjacent dining area, an ornamental fireplace and comfortable lounge seating arranged before a picture window enjoying far reaching views of the coastline. From here, French Windows lead out to a railed balcony with wonderful views of St Michael's Mount and the bay over the old rooftops of Marazion.
The owner reserves the top floor as a store room. At the rear of the property, a small walled and gated garden benefits from the mid-morning and evening sun and has a paved terrace set beneath a pergola, little area of lawn and a useful outside tap for when returning from the beach. The large, well maintained, memorial gardens adjacent to the property provide an additional quiet outside space for picnics and recreation.
The splendid sandy beaches are only a 2 minute walk down the hill as are a selection of local shops, restaurants, pubs and art galleries. The RSPB Marazion Marsh Nature Reserve is favoured by birdwatchers and the famous attraction of St Michael's Mount can be reached on foot over a causeway at low tide, or by foot ferry at high tide. There is a local bus route that connects to the shopping town of Penzance, 3 miles, where there is a railway station and a regular helicopter and ferry service to the Isles of Scilly.

This ancient market town, believed to be Britain’s oldest chartered town is steeped in history and is best known as the gateway to St Michaels Mount with an excellent safe sandy beach and a good base to explore West Cornwall.
The wide front door opens to an entrance lobby with coat pegs and an inner door leads into the large central hallway with oak flooring and an adjacent cloakroom W.C. with hand basin. To one side is a light and airy sitting/dining room in soft colourings with comfortable lounge seating arranged before the ornamental granite fireplace, rugs on the solid oak floor and a refectory dining table next to patio doors.
On the opposite side of the hall, a bright and sunny kitchen/breakfast room has views of the rear garden from French Windows and a spacious well equipped kitchen with beautiful oak fitted units and a natural stone tiled floor. A railed sun deck at the rear spans the width of the house and can be accessed from both the dining and breakfast rooms.

From the south facing railed sun deck, perfect for breakfast alfresco, half a dozen steps lead down to a securely enclosed, lawned garden with a gate leading to the driveway where there is space for two cars.
All the town’s amenities are within a short stroll including a selection of local shops, pubs, galleries and eating places as well as the golden sandy beaches and cobbled causeway leading to St Michael's Mount at low tide.
