Accommodation overview: With unrivalled sea views across Mounts Bay, this charming property with reversed accommodation is part of the old eighteenth century Malt House set high above the quaint fishing port.
Reached by a sloping path and a few steps which lead up to a patio garden, the front door opens into a ground floor hallway with an adjacent bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath. There are two bedrooms, a 5ft double with a decorative fireplace and a large picture window with superb sea and coastal views, and one with versatile bunks with a single bed over a sturdy double bed, both have natural wood floors and exposed random stonework.
Fairly narrow steep stairs wind up to a small first floor landing, where there is a fitted kitchen with a breakfast bar and dual aspect windows looking down over the town and harbour, and a spacious living room in the original part of the Malt House still retaining many of the rustic characteristics with granite featurework and a lovely bay window with a birds eye view of the bustling harbour and the sounds of the sea.
A small terrace at the front of the house enjoys magnificent views of St Michaels Mount in the distance, there are several communal lawns and parking is available in the private road for one car. Newlyn, famous for its Pilchard Works and art gallery is 5 minutes walk downhill, with a selection of small shops and pubs, but quite a climb uphill, and there are several stretches of beach around the sweep of Mounts Bay within a 5 minute drive.
