Approached from the large shared parking area a dozen railed steps lead up to a small sun terrace and the front door which opens to a lobby and a wide central hallway. The accommodation comprises a bright living/dining room with an electric log effect fire and huge picture windows to fully appreciate the waterside position, a modern fitted kitchen with a useful breakfast bar and stools, a newly refurbished bathroom W.C. with vanity basin, bidet and bath with hand shower fitment and an adjoining utility storage area.
There are three bedrooms, a master double with a 5ft bed enjoying lovely views of the creek, a twin bedded room with a newly refurbished ensuite W.C. hand basin and large walk-in enclosure with a shower, and a spacious room with a 4ft 6in double bed and a nice easy chair next to the window overlooking the water. On the opposite side of the lane a gate opens to a small secluded garden which leads down to the waters edge with a flight of unrailed steps down to the actual foreshore (young children will require supervision).
It is possible to launch canoes and small dinghies from here subject to the tide and the owners may require occasional access to their boat mooring. A pleasant walk along the creekside leads to Devoran where there is the Old Quay Inn or a 3 minute drive in the opposite direction is the old thatched pub, The Punchbowl and Ladle. The National Trust gardens at Trelissick and the watersports centre at Loe Beach are within easy reach as is the King Harry Ferry for access to the beaches on the Roseland Peninsula.
Cycles can be hired for the Mineral Tramways Path to the north coast harbour of Portreath and local shops and post offices are a 5 minutes drive. With Truro only a few miles in one direction and Falmouth and Mylor in the other, Sunnyside is conveniently situated for beaches, boating and shopping.

Sleeps 4
Weekly price range £336 to £767
Self catering accommodation in Penpol sleeps 4.
Accommodation overview: Located in a wooded conservation area 100 yards uphill from the head of Penpol Creek, a tidal tributary of Restronguet Creek, this detached bungalow stands in a quiet elevated position to one side of a country lane. Brambles is a haven for wildlife lovers; apart from birds, squirrels and foxes, otters have also been seen in the creek off Point Quay catching fish.
Entered from the tarmac driveway where there is parking for a car and boat trailer, a dozen steps and path lead up through the pretty landscaped garden to the front door which opens to a long narrow hallway. At one end, a pleasant sitting / dining room has an electric fire set in the Cornish slate hearth, comfortable lounge furniture and a dining suite next to the serving hatch. From here, French Windows and two steps lead down to a wide railed balcony with patio table and chairs and partial views over the creek, more visible in the spring and autumn.
Leading off the hall are a fitted kitchen with a quarry tiled floor and modern fitted units, and a bathroom W.C. with hand basin, heated towel rail and shower over the bath. To complete the accommodation, there are two spacious bedrooms with a double and two single beds, both catching glimpses of the water between the tree covered banks. A flight of concrete steps lead up to a small sheltered lawned garden with mature trees and shrubs, a little pond, and undercover washing lines beneath the balcony. Young children and pets will require supervision as the garden is not enclosed and there are several changes in levels.
The villages of Playing Place and Carnon Downs, 2 miles respectively, have general stores/P.O. and there are local pubs serving food at Penelewey and Devoran 1.5 miles away. It is possible to launch dinghies at Point slipway at high tide half a mile away, or Loe Beach where there is a charge. Tuition and hire facilities are available at Loe Beach Watersports Centre two miles away, and it is only a short drive to both Trelissick Gardens and the King Harry Ferry giving access to the beautiful Roseland Peninsula.
The cathedral city of Truro, 4 miles, has an extensive range of shops and the maritime town of Falmouth with its selection of sandy beaches is about 8 miles. Fishing, walking, golf and horse riding are all available in the immediate vicinity.
